Introduction
Failure will find you. The question is whether it finds you as a believer or as a project manager. A believer's failure has a different shape — it is grief without despair, review without self-punishment, and return without delay. This file is about how to metabolise a loss without losing yourself.
Historical Context
The Prophet ﷺ lost Uhud. He lost his son Ibrahim. He lost Khadijah, then Abu Talib, in the same year. He grieved fully — and continued. Ya'qub wept until he lost his sight — and never lost his tawakkul. Sabrun jamīl: beautiful patience. Not the absence of pain. The dignity within it.
Islamic Lessons
1. A believer grieves, but does not despair (12:87). 2. Every setback has decree behind it, and reward within it. 3. Return quickly. Do not sit in the wreckage.
